Welcome! Here you will find a bit of info about our organization. Region 6 is one of six Youth Bowl Ontario (YBO) regions within Southern Ontario. YBO is the provincial organization for all matters related to the national Youth Bowl Canada (YBC) program. 

 

Our eight member bowling centres within the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Valleys offer 5 pin bowling YBC programs to youth aged from 4 to 19.

We are an entirely volunteer-driven organization consisting of:

​

• A four person Executive team to oversee the region's day-to-day operations and manage the non-profit organization's finances;

• Two regional representatives (Region Reps) that organize tournaments and co-lead dealings with Youth Bowl Ontario;

• A Program Director at each member centre who ensures their respective youth programs run smoothly each week; and

• Across each of our programs, countless coaches, division supervisors and other volunteers to look after each league's operations and to mentor our youth bowlers.

Each season, Region 6's Executive hold three meetings a year (click here for info about the next meeting). All Program Directors and Regional Reps are encouraged to attend, and all Region 6 volunteers are also welcome to attend.

After each meeting, we publish the minutes of the previous meeting onto our website and maintain an archive of all prior meetings. We also make available our non-profit organization's constitution.
